Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu, a Grammy award-winning Nigerian musician, said in a recent interview session that Toni Braxton, an American recording singer, will receive 60% of the earnings from his most recent track ‘Last Last.’
The Grammy winner claimed that he had long wanted to sample Toni Braxton’s vocals of her 2000 R&B song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough,’ and he eventually convinced music producer Chopsticks to do so.
During an appearance on The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Burna Boy revealed this while answering questions about how the track came to be.
Additionally, Burna Boy revealed that his sixth studio album will be released on the 8th of July, 2022.
The hit song last last was Produced by Ruuben, MD$, Off & Out & Chopstix, and also written by Chopstix, Rodney Jerkins, LaShawn Daniels, James Malcolm Olagundoye, Harvey Mason Jr., Fred Jerkins III.
The album titled ‘Love Damini’ comprises 19 tracks featuring local and international artists.
The album contains songs he had earlier released, including “Last Lastâ€, which is believed to address his break-up with UK-based rapper Stefflon Don.
